Tuesday TBR Showcase (4)

Books:
Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George
This is a retelling of the 12 Dancing Sisters fairy tale, which I recently read another novel that was a retelling of this same fairy tale, so I'm interested to see how this one tackles it. I liked the fairy tale, and it's always fun to read re-tellings.
Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink
This one has been sitting on my shelf for ages, I don't even know what it's about anymore, it's been that long.
All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin
Seems pretty interesting, although terrible. I mean, a world without chocolate?
Hades by Alexandra Adornetto
I actually haven't even read Halo yet, which is the first book, so I need to get to it!
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Heard SO MANY great things about this book, I'm dying to read it. I need to find time for it soon.

Have you read any of these? Which ones should I bump to the top of my pile?

  1. Definitely read Daughter of Smoke and Bone first and then All These Things I've Done right after :)

  2. From your pile, I've only read Daughter of Smoke & Bone. But I've read it twice (which I don't normally do) and enjoyed it even more the second time.

  3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone definitely needs to be moved up. I loved that book! It was my favorite read of 2011 hands down. :]

  4. I'm actually not a big fan of Daughter of Smoke and Bone. The universe Taylor creates is pretty interesting, but the romance got a little too gushy for me :/ I don't know. It was still good though.
All These Things I've Done and the Halo series are on my TBR list too so I suggest those!

  5. Well...I really liked Daughter of Smoke and bone!!! But anything like that is not appealing to me lately. I'll be interested to see what you think of Princess of the Midnight Ball. It's been on my TBR forever!!!
