2012 Blogging Resolutions & 2011 Wrap-Up

2011 was a great year for me. It was the year that What's Your Story really took off and became something bigger and better than I ever thought it could be. I want to thank every single person that's followed my blog, left a comment, tweeted about a post, liked on Facebook, and anything else you could have done! It means so much to me. :)

My 2011 Stats:

Books Read- 94
Pages Read- 23,088
Posts in 2011- 276 (Not including this one)
Reviews posted this year- 98

Here are my resolutions for 2012:
  • Read every day. Even if it's only a few pages, I want to be able to read something every day. In 2011, I had many dry spells where I wouldn't read a word for days, sometimes even weeks, and I really don't want that to happen again. Because of this, I didn't meet my goal of reading 100 books, and in 2012 I want to far surpass that goal.
  • Prioritize and organize. This is the cause of so much of my stress, when I don't organize properly. This year, hopefully that will change and I won't lose track of anything. I bought a planner just for that purpose, so there should be a post at least every day. Here's hoping.
  • Post everyday. I'm going to try my hardest to post everyday, even though we all know that's pretty back breaking work. I'm trying to schedule my posts as far ahead in advance as I can so that I don't have to freak out over trying to write posts the night before. Also, this ties into the planner in the previous bullet.
  • Comment on more blogs! I need to get in the habit of visiting other's blogs and commenting. I'm usually one of those silent readers, that reads the posts or the review, but doesn't comment on it. That needs to change! I also pledge to return comments, meaning that if anyone comments on one of my posts, I will in turn comment on their post.
What are your resolutions?

  2. Great job on everything you did this year.
I think the reading every day rule is a good one to have. I also had a few dry spells, though I did manage to read 125 books this year. I want to ultimately bump that number up to 150+ books.

Good luck on your goals for 2012. Happy New Year!
