Book Blogger Tag

This is a fun book blogger tag that I saw on The Cover Reviews, and decided to do it.

When did you start blogging?
June 28th, 2009.

How did you come across the Book-Blogging world?
About 3 years ago, I somehow stumbled across www.thestorysiren.com and I bookmarked it. I would read it almost every day. Then a year later, I decided to make my own blog.

Which book blogs are your favorite (linked)?
Fiktshun
Harmony's Radiant Reads
The Story Siren
365 Days of Reading
Dreaming In Books
GReads!
Makeshift Bookmark
Small Review

There are SO many more, but these are the ones that I read very often, almost every day.

Do you have a “Book Fairy”? If so, who?
Nope, no book fairy. But I do have some very awesome blogger friends that I trade books with, so I'm counting that. :D

Do you parents know about your blog?
Yes, they do. At first, I didn't want to tell them. I don't know, it seems a little weird to me. But then blogging became a really important part of my life, and it was unavoidable. Lol, now it's really awkward, because I'll walk into one of their offices and see them reading my blog, and when they realize I walked in they'll quickly exit out, haha.

Do you receive books for review from Publishers/Authors?
Yeah, I get a lot of books from self-published authors, and I also request ARCs from publishers every once in a while. I also use Netgalley sometimes. But a majority of the time my books are purchased.

How often do you post on your blog?
Every day. But, of course, there are the occasional times that I skip a day accidentally. :-/

What memes do you do?
In My Mailbox is really the only meme I do regularly. I've a few Waiting on Wednesday posts, but that's not consistent, only when I'm in the mood.

What book did you review first?
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schrieber

How do you handle a negative review?
I don't usually write too many negative reviews, because I read what I know I'll like. But it does happen, and I try to stay as professional as possible.

Do you like to review your books right after you read them?
It depends on how far backlogged I am on reviews. If I'm not too backlogged, then yeah I'll review a book I just read. But if I have quite a few reviews waiting for me, I'll just make a few quick notes so I won't forget what I want to say, and then leave it for a little later.

What other websites do you have associated with your blog (linked)?
Goodreads
Shelfari
Facebook
Twitter
Amazon
Youtube

What do you like best about blogging?
Oh, God, that's a loaded question, haha. I love the community itself, how we all are a really awesome book-lovin' bunch that understands what it's like to be so obsessed with books. No one else understands that, and it's great to have a place to go to gush over our favorites reads. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I love hearing from you! Please, feel free to comment to your heart's content. :)

Due to the lack of time, I am making this blog award-free. I appreciate any awards you may give me, and I give you a big resounding THANK YOU! But, unfortunately, I won't be posting about them. Thank you again for stopping by. :)
